Why practice yoga?
Yoga is simply a practice that allows to achieve the union of physical, emotional, and spiritual limits of a person, increasing the awareness of oneself and its surroundings. The body gets stronger and resistant to illness and pain, and the mind gets calmer and centered.
What is Kundalini yoga?
Kundalini Yoga encompasses all kinds of yoga and goes beyond the physical performance of poses to mobilize the inner energy. It is known as the “yoga of awareness” as it seeks to achieve awareness, expansion, creativity, intuition, fullness of life, commitment to our purposes and spiritual growth.
Class Structure
Kundalini yoga classes usually include a practice of pranayama (breathing) kriya (set of exercices), the use of mudras (hand position for the energy flow), meditation for self-healing and elevation, chanting mantras, laughing, and dancing. Kundalini places great emphasis on mantras because it believes in the power of sound. Words and sounds are use to heal through vibration.
